The Amber Alert issued by the Houston Police Department earlier today for nine-month-old Nhi Buong has been cancelled.
According to authorities, the child was recovered unharmed.
The suspect, 36-year-old Quoc Buong was taken into custody. Information on possible criminal charges against Buong has not yet been released.
Buong reportedly abducted the child from a southwest Houston location earlier today.
The suspect was said to be a former boyfriend of the child’s mother, but not the biological father.
