American Heart Association's 2010 Start! Houston Heart Walk Kicks Off On Saturday

Cherita Andrews, Contestant of The Biggest Loser, Season 9; Jason Few, President, Reliant Energy and 2010 Start! Heart Walk Chairman; Mariella de Jong, Director, AEI Latin American Energy; Kim Davis, Host of “Beyond the Headlines,” KPRC-TV and Dan Wolterman, President and CEO, Memorial Hermann Healthcare System and Chairman of the Board, American Heart Association.

The American Heart Association’s 2010 Start! Houston Heart Walk will kick off on Saturday, Nov. 6 with a prep rally and opening ceremony featuring Houston Mayor Annise Parker.
The walk will kick off at Sam Houston Park downtown, 1100 Bagby St. at 9:30 a.m. The opening ceremony and a group warm-up begins at 9 a.m. Registration opens at 8 a.m.
More than 25,000 Houston residents are expected to participate in the five mile noncompetitive walk with families, friends, co-workers, and heart disease and stroke survivors to step toward a stronger, healthier life while raising funds to fight the number one health threat, heart disease.
