The city of West University Place is ranked Number One as one of the best places to live in Texas, according to a real estate website called AreaVibes. Link Here
West U received a score of 92 from the website, which also ranked two smaller Texas cities, Las Palmas (population 72) and Lost Creek (population 4,500) with a total score of 92. Las Palmas, in Cameron County, got a “C” score for housing, and Lost Creek, in Travis County, got a “B” score for amenities.
The only downside to life in West U, according to the AreaVibes.com, is the cost of living. The city got “A-plus” ratings for having the best amenities, low crime rate, educational background, employment possibilities, housing and weather. The high cost of living in West U earned the city an “F” grade.
West University Place consistently ranks high on surveys of “best” places to live.
