The Bellaire Police Department has released more details about an armed robbery that occurred on Feb. 21 at Rice Discount Liquor, 5108B Bissonnet.
Officers were dispatched to the liquor store around 7:50 p.m. and found the store’s cashier standing outside the front door.
The cashier told police that an unknown suspect entered the store, jumped the counter and struck the cashier twice with a pistol, according to the police report.
The suspect stole cash and miscellaneous items from the front counter.
The suspect was described as a black male with a light build, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
This incident remains under investigation.
