In what it termed a commitment “to being good neighbors,” AT&T dropped its lawsuit against the city of West University Monday (Feb. 25) over rezoning of a U-verse service center on Bellaire Boulevard and Academy Street.
The matter, technically, has been “non-suited,” meaning it can be re-filed.
AT&T’s representative, Court Koenning, said the company continues discussions with the city to comply with ordinances, as well as improvement of the appearance of the facility, where activity of service vans was the primary complaint of neighbors.
“Moreover, when operations begin again, every effort will be made to ensure service vehicles do not travel down West University Place’s residential streets,” Koenning said in a statement.
