Average Gas Prices In Bellaire Stay At $2.87, National Average Tops $3 Mark

GAS PRICES – The average cost for a gallon of gas remained at $2.87 locally, while nationally, the price passed the $3 mark to an average of $3.05 per gallon.

Gasoline prices in Bellaire rose only a fraction of a cent over the last week, but not enough to increase the $2.87 per gallon average cost to the consumer.

Gas prices in Bellaire went up 0.4 cents per gallon over the past week, compared with a 1.5 cent-per-gallon increase nationally.

Nationally, the average cost for a gallon of unleaded regular passed the $3 mark last week, increasing to an average of $3.05 per gallon, according to gasoline price website HoustonGasPrices.com.

Including the change in gas prices in Bellaire during the past week, prices yesterday were 39.9 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 16.5 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.

The national average has increased 12.8 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 39.6 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
