Bank Robbers Passed Note To Teller: ‘Don’t Do Anything Stupid”

December 12, 2008 by Essentials Staff Leave a Comment

Three employees were working at the Compass Bank at University and Edloe around 10:30 a.m. Dec.10 when two black men entered the bank, and passed a teller a note demanding money. The note instructed the employee “not to do anything stupid,” and said the men had police scanners.
One of the suspects served as a lookout, while the other approached the teller. The man who passed the note told the teller the lookout was armed, but neither suspect ever produced a weapon. No customers were inside the bank.
Once the suspect had the money, the two fled, and no witnesses were able to provide a description of a vehicle. The bank employees called police, but the suspects have not been located. According to West U. police, the bank does not have an armed guard, and at no point was a panic button utilized.
A description of the suspects will follow shortly.
