The City of Bellaire has activated its Emergency Operations Center due to the heavy rainfall.
High-water is being reported throughout the city and surrounding areas. Bellaire Boulevard and Second St. is impassable.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning until 2 p.m.
So far today, rainfall reports of 4.52 inches have been received at a monitoring station at Brays Bayou and Bellaire Boulevard.
Residents are encouraged to not venture out if at all possible. Heavy rains are expected in the area for the rest of the day.
