The installation of 9×6 storm water boxes is continuing in the area west of Bellaire Boulevard’s intersection with Braes/Auden Street to Stella Link. This week’s progress totaled installation of approximately 50 linear feet of storm water boxes. Some delays continue to be experienced due to the relocation of CenterPoint Energy’s gas main. That the project will include closure of the intersection of Stella Link at Bellaire Boulevard, which contractors say will occur in the later part of next week. The closure was initially estimated to occur this week.
The project is the joint effort of the City of West University Place, the City of Southside Place, the City of Houston, Harris County Flood Control District and Metropolitan Transit Authority, to improve drainage in the area.
