Bellaire cancels city-sponsored activities for seniors for virus protection

March 16, 2020 by Charlotte Aguilar

The city of Bellaire has shut down all its activities for senior citizens through at least April 3, as a protection for the age group considered the most vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus that has been declared a global pandemic.

Anyone who has prepaid activities will receive a refund, according to the city.

Bellaire’s LIFE program (Living, Information, Fun and Enrichment) serves residents 50 and older, offering courses, speakers, games, luncheons and trips and has a dedicated seniors center in the city’s new City Hall/CivicCenter complex.

Any questions should be directed to 713-662-8290.
