An air conditioning unit was stolen from a home under construction in the 5200 block of Braeburn on Oct.7.The burglary is under investigation.
Three juveniles were charged with evading arrest around noon Oct. 8 after police allegedly saw them smoking marijuana and cigarettes under the bridge in the 8300 block of Ferris. Several juveniles were under the bridge, and three of them began running and were apprehended a block away.
On Oct. 10 around 12:33 a.m., officers pulled over a car in the 8300 block of Chimney Rock after the officer saw the driver change lanes without using a signal while traveling 44 mph in a 35 mph zone. During the stop, the officer found a small amount of marijuana in the car along with a loaded handgun. The driver, Jason Jermaine Cooper, 21, was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon.
A car was broken into around 1:45 p.m. Oct. 10 in the 4400 block of Bissonnet. The burglary is under investigation.
A purse was allegedly stolen from the kitchen of Crosspoint Baptist Church in the 4600 block of Bellaire Boulevard between 2:45 p.m. and 3:15 .m. Oct. 11. The victim told police she saw an unknown man in the kitchen a couple of minutes before the purse was stolen. The theft is under investigation.
A resident in the 4600 block of Braeburn called police around 11:57 a.m. after he says someone called and threatened his life. The incident is under investigation.
A home in the 4900 block of Mimosa was broken into on Oct. 12. The burglary was reported around 2:58 p.m.
The front right passenger window was shattered and items stolen from a car in the 4500 block of Evergreen around 4:09 p.m. Oct. 12.
