Bellaire cuts back on mosquito spraying

October 18, 2019 by Charlotte Aguilar

The city of Bellaire is returning to its once-a-week mosquito spraying schedule and using a new vendor, according to an announcement Friday.

The entire city will now be sprayed on Tuesdays only after 10 p.m., through the end of the month. If it’s decided that additional spraying is necessary, the season could be extended into November.

A “environmentally friendly fog” is sprayed for mosquito control, and residents may opt out by filing a “No Spray Request.” That form and more information on the program is available by clicking here.
