Bellaire, other firefighters, put out house fire

Firefighters from Bellaire, Houston, West University Place and Southside Place responded to a house fire at 4523 Sunburst.
In addition to the severe damage to 4523 Sunburst there was fire and smoke damage to home at 4525 Sunburst.
There were no injuries reported, although the home was seriously damaged by the blaze, which filled the neighborhood behind Pin Oak Middle School with a dense haze of smoke.
The husband who lives in the home, and their two dogs, safely got out of the fire.
Neighbors watched as the firefighters battled the blaze, which appeared to be heaviest near the garage side of the small home. At one point, several firefighters climbed up on the roof of the residence, using an electric saw and other tools to make a large opening.
Neighbors watched as the fire was tapped out. Fire officials said the cause of the blaze has not been determined.
The accompanying photos show firefighters from all four cities, as they worked to put out the fire.
