The Bellaire Police Department on Monday issued a crime alert about criminal activity in the Meyerland area.
On Friday, February 6, there was a burglary of a residence in the 5700 block of Ariel between 9:20 AM and 9:30 AM. A neighbor saw a suspicious vehicle parked in front of the residence, then heard two loud bangs and the home alarm sound.
The resident saw a man walk down the driveway a few minutes later and leave in a dark blue four-door sedan. The car was described as possibly a Honda Accord. There were two men involved, one stayed in the car and the other went into the home.
The suspects are described as two white or Hispanic males in their 30’s. Entry to the house was made by kicking in the utility room door.
The Bellaire Police are reminding residents that can call 911 if they witness a crime occurring. The Bellaire Police Department will continue to provide information on activity that might impact Bellaire residents, even though the crime may not have occurred in the City of Bellaire.
