Bellaire police arrested a 27-year-old man on Nov. 12 for driving while intoxicated and evading police.
According to reports, an officer noticed a vehicle speeding in the 6000 block of IH 610 southbound. The driver lost control of the vehicle, spun 180 degrees and hit a curb.
When the officer tried to make contact with the driver, the vehicle sped off.
The officer chased the vehicle until it stopped in a parking lot.
During the traffic stop, the driver, Terrance Koontz, was found to be driving while intoxicated, police said.
Koontz was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and evading.
