Bellaire Police Department Encourages Residents To Participate In National Night Out

September 6, 2010 by Bellaire Essentials Staff 1 Comment

Bellaire residents are encouraged to participate in the 27th annual “National Night Out” on Oct. 5.

“National Night Out” is an event for residents to get to know their neighbors and ask police officers questions about crime prevention.

The event will be held on Oct. 5 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Officers from the Bellaire Police Department will be visiting each “block party” to answer resident’s questions and talk about preventing identity theft.

“Neighborhood safety is top priority at the Bellaire Police Department,” Community Resource Officer Tim Quimby said. “The Police Department and the citizens all work together as a team to keep Bellaire the wonderful place it is.”

Any resident who is interested in hosting an event can contact the Officer Tim Quimby at the Bellaire Police Department (713)662-8103 or by email at tquimby@bellairepolice.com.

The police department will provide flyers for residents to pass out to their neighbors and will assign officers to attend.
