The City of Bellaire Parks & Recreation Department is has announced that the entire Bellaire Town Square Family Aquatic Center facility will open on Saturday, May 16 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, May 17 from 1 p.m.-6 p.m. The opening was postponed due to recent swine flu concerns.
The entire facility will be open only on weekends through the month of May. The lap pool will be open throughout the week with the current spring hours. Full summer hours will begin May 29. Season passes are available for purchase and walk in entrance is welcome for a fee.
Parking for the pool and program patrons is limited in and around the Recreation Center due to ongoing construction of a new roof for the recreation center. However, additional parking is available along South Rice and in the Condit Elementary School parking lot when school is not in session. On-street parking in the 5200 block of Laurel Street, to the east of the facility, will be restricted to residential permit holders only on Friday, Saturday and Sundays from 11a.m.-6 p.m. Parking will not be permitted in the east side of 5th Street from the entrance to the Aquatics Facility parking lot to Linden Street.
