Andrew Liu, a 49-year-old Bellaire resident, was arrested for assaulting his wife on May 25.
Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Whipple because a fight was taking place.
Police determined that Liu had assaulted his wife with his hands because she had red marks on her body, Officer Tim Quimby said.
