December 1, 2010 by Bellaire Essentials Staff 1 Comment

Bellaire residents will be receiving fewer garbage during the 2011 fiscal year.

Bellaire residents will be receiving fewer garbage bags this year in an effort to save on city costs.

City Council approved its 2011 budget on Sept. 20, which accounted for two-thirds the amount of garbage bags for the year. For the 2011 fiscal year, council budgeted $120,000 for garbage bags.

Each resident will receive 105 bags per year, compared to 156 bags last year. Garbage bags will be delivered three times a year and will contain 35 bags.

Garbage bags will be delivered today through Friday, Dec. 3.

Additional garbage bags may be available at city hall, 7008 S. Rice Ave.

The city cannot afford garbage bags (or trash collection) but they think that they can afford a massive new park! NUT JOBS, ALL OF THEM.
