Starting tonight (Tuesday, Sept. 24), the city of Bellaire will increase its regular summer mosquito spraying as a precaution after last week’s torrential rains from Tropical Storm Imelda.
This week, the city will spray the entire city both Tuesday and Thursday after 10 p.m., using an environmentally friendly fog.
Normally the city sprays on Tuesday nights inside the Loop and Wednesday nights outside the Loop, with the program running from May through October.
There is an opt-out provision available. For information on that and the program in general, click here.
