The rain will turn steady Saturday night and Sunday morning, with occasional rumbles of thunder. The Saturday night low of 47 will only rise to a high in the mid-50s on Sunday with rain and thunder throughout the day.
Sunday night will see temperatures drop to near freezing.
Residents are strongly urged to protect tender vegetation, exposed plumbing and pets against the expected frigid blast.
Monday’s high will be near 50 under partly cloudy skies, with lows dropping to 30 or below Monday night.
Freezing nighttime temperatures are expected to continue through Wednesday night before a gradual warming trend in time for next weekend.
