The discovery rooms inside the center are being spruced up, to make the place even nicer for visitors. There will be new furniture and fresh paint when the rooms reopen in March.
Russ Pitman Park is still open, and programs will still continue outside under the pavilions when weather permits. The Winter Bird Walk will be held today, the Walk on the Wild Side will be February 9 , the Great Backyard Bird Count will be February 15, and the Lunch with the Birds will be held on February 26.
Curious Kids, Junior Scientists and Nature Story time also will continue outside. Call 713-667-6550 for details.
