Bellaire/Stella Link Closure Now Expected To Take Place Late Next week

July 3, 2008 by Essentials Staff Leave a Comment

The closure of the intersection at Bellaire Boulevard and Stella Link is now expected to take place late next week, with no other changes expected during the week.
The installation of 9×6 storm water boxes is continuing in the area west of Bellaire Boulevard’s intersection with Braes/Auden Street to Stella Link. This week’s installation of storm water boxes has resulted in westward progression to a point in excess of more than 200 feet west of Bellaire Boulevard’s intersection with Braes/Auden. Some delays continue to be experienced due to the relocation of CenterPoint Energy’s gas main, as well as soil conditions requiring dewatering of the excavation trench.
The project is the joint effort of the City of West University Place, the City of Southside Place, the City of Houston, Harris County Flood Control District and Metropolitan Transit Authority to improve drainage in the area.
