The BelleArtz Expo, originally scheduled for Oct. 25, is in the process of being rescheduled due to Hurricane Ike. The registration due date, originally Sept. 30, has been postponed as well.
The Bellaire Arts Commission and the City of Bellaire Centennial Committee are currently working on setting a new date for the event. As part of the city’s year-long Centennial Celebration, the city and the Bellaire Arts Commission are hosting the city’s first BelleArtz Expo. The event is an opportunity for Bellaire artists of all ages and levels of experience to display their works and visit with other artists and residents of Bellaire.
The BelleArtz Expo will feature a gallery showcasing the work of adult artists, including high school students. The children’s show will feature artwork, a talent show and an ice cream social. All Bellaire children are invited to join the show.
Questions regarding art submission can be directed to Cheryl Bright West, recreation superintendent, at cbright@ci.bellaire.tx.us or 713-662-8286.
