The Building and Standards Commission will hold a public hearing tonight to discuss whether or not West University Elementary School can keep a portable classroom.
According to the agenda, the school was granted a variance for the portable classroom in 2009, but it will expire on July 31.
The commission will hold a public hearing for anyone who would like to speak on the matter before deliberating and taking action.
The BSC is expected to deliberate on “the demolition or repair of a dangerous building” at 4144 Coleridge.
The commission may also continue to discuss the criteria for building basements in West U.
The BSC will meet at 6 p.m. in the conference room of city hall, 3800 University.
