“Building Brains” Workshop Offered For Three, Four And Five-Year-Olds

The West U. Parks and Recreation Department is offering Building Brains classes for 3-5-year-olds from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. June 16-19 and June 23-26 at the Community Building meeting room, 6104 Auden St.
Building Brains uses LOGO, Duplo and K’NEX education kits to build math and science skills. Participants will build simple machines that work, using gears, levers and pulleys. Classes are themed, such as “Pirates that Don’t Do Anything,” “Robot Rally” and “It’s a Bug’s Life.”
The class costs $165 for residents and $175 for non-residents. Participants should bring a sack lunch.
To register, visit www.westu.org , go to the City Departments tab, choose Parks and Recreation then select online registration from the drop-down menu. Choose the activity and click to register. The code for the class is 1030.221 for the June 16-19 session and 1030.222 for the June 23-26 session.
