Burglar Breaks Through Wall Of Building, Tries To Open Safe

On Nov. 29 police responded to a burglary of a building in the 6700 block of Chimney Rock. According to reports, an unknown suspect broke through the rear wall of the building and attempted to open a safe. While police were investigating the burglary, the owner of another business in the area approached police and said her building had been broken into as well. According to reports, there was a hole in the wall of the building’s bathroom, and footprints inside. Nothing was found missing. Both burglaries are under investigation.

A Bellaire High School student was arrested for theft of a cell phone Nov. 24 after Bellaire Police were called to the school by a Houston Independent School District police officer. The victim told police the suspect, who she knew, stole her cell phone Nov. 21.

A resident in the 800 block of Atwell contacted police on Nov. 24 to report that someone used her credit card to make an online purchase. Also on Nov. 24, a resident in the 4500 block of Beech told police that someone used her debit card number to make several unauthorized withdrawals. Both incidents are under investigation.

A home in the 4300 block of Compton was burglarized and items stolen some time in the week leading up to Nov. 24. The following day, a home in the 4600 block of Holly was burglarized after someone entered the house through a front window. Both burglaries are under investigation.

Bellaire Police met with a HISD police officer at Bellaire High School on Nov. 24 in reference to drugs. Two juveniles were taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance after they were found with 1 gram of Xanax, according to reports.

On Nov. 25, a woman came to the BPD station to report that her wallet was stolen from her purse at some time between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the H.E.B. Grocery Store.

A red Jeep was stolen some time between Nov. 24 and Nov. 26 from the 5400 block of Holly.

A resident in the 500 block Of Chelsea reported harassing phone calls that were “alarming” on Nov. 26. On Nov. 30, a resident in the 400 block of Otto reported “annoying” phone calls from an unknown person multiple times per dat. Both incidents are under investigation.

The owner of a home under construction in the 5600 block of Whitehaven reported copper theft on Nov. 26.

A car in the 100 block of Berkshire was broken into on Nov. 28 between 6:50 p.m. and 7:10 p.m.

A 19-year-old was arrested for a misdemeanor possession of marijuana on Nov. 30 following a traffic stop. Alexander Phillips was taken into custody after being pulled over for several traffic violations in the 5400 block of Bellaire Blvd. around 12:36 a.m.
