Burglars Steal Handgun, Handicap Placard From Bellaire Vehicles

Bellaire police are investigating several car burglaries that occurred from June 20 – June 24.

On June 20, an unknown person stole a handgun from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a home in the 1100 block of Howard.

On June 21, an unknown person broke the lock on a vehicle in the 4500 block of Bissonnet and cut the steering wheel in half. The suspect also pulled the dashboard apart, exposing the ignition wires.

On June 21, a radar detector was stolen from a vehicle at Foundation Surgical Hospital, 5410 West Loop South.

On June 23, an unknown person stole a pair of sunglasses and a handicap placard from a vehicle in the 4900 block of Pine

On June 24, police found a vehicle up on cinder blocks in a parking lot in the 6000 block of S. Rice. The vehicle’s tires were missing. The vehicle was found to be stolen out of Houston.
