Can’t recycle it curbside? Upcoming Bellaire collection might be the answer

October 19, 2021 by Charlotte Aguilar

Bellaire’s resident-run Environmental Sustainability Board will host one of its periodic drive-thru collections of tough-to-recycle items Saturday (Oct. 23).

The event will run from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the site of the old Public Works facility at 4337 Edith St. in the southeast corner of the city — but could end earlier if the trucks reach capacity.

Bellaire residents and non-residents can bring computer equipment, scrap metal, small household appliances, radios and stereos for recycling. Secure paper shredding will be available, with with a five-box limit.

Vehicles will be unloaded, and participants must remain inside. Walk-ups will be turned away.
