CenterPoint Sending In 800 New Workers, Debris Collection Begins Tomorrow

CenterPoint Energy says that 800 new workers with equipment from out of State are arriving in the West U. area today, Sept. 18, according to West U. officials. These workers will stay in the area until power is restored.
Storm debris collection is scheduled to begin tomorrow Sept. 19. The city will notify residents on streets where parking will be prohibited to facilitate this process.
Routine solid waste collection has resumed. Only household garbage will be collected.
Effective immediately the city will accept recycling at the recycling center on Dincans. Curbside recycling is temporarily suspended until further notice.
