Crusader Football players and cheerleaders assisted as buddies while National Honor Society members volunteered in other ways. National Charity League distributed spirit goody bags to each Challenger player and cheerleader and helped with check-in, as well.
Athletic Director Bill McDonald, was the sports broadcaster for the day while Tatiana Angulo, St. Agnes Academy senior and Strake Jesuit cheerleader, sang the National Anthem followed by an invocation by Father Pepe Ruiz.
Head Football Coach Ron Counter did the traditional coin toss before the players and cheerleaders entered the field through the spirit run-through. After countless touchdowns, field goals, punts, and points to light up the scoreboard, the game ended in a tie. Cheerleaders cheered and one Challenger player taught everyone the victory dance.
