Santa Claus will visit West University Place next week during the city’s official Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Residents will get the chance to sing carols, photograph their kids with Santa, decorate cookies and witness the lights turn on. Most important, children will have a chance to tell Santa what they want for Christmas. The night includes performances by the West U. Elementary choir and violin classes and by John Pickul.
The Dec. 7 event at City Hall, 3800 University, begins at 6:30 p.m. For more information call the West U. Parks and Recreation Department at (713) 662-5892.
