With pandemic precautions still in place, West University’s pool season begins this weekend (May 1-2) as the Colonial Park Pool opens Saturday to members and Sunday to residents without memberships.
The pool will be open from noon-5:30 p.m. weekends-only through May 23, with hours expanding for Memorial Day weekend and beyond. You can view the schedule here.
Reservations are required for the 1 ½-hour time blocks and are available 24 hours in advance, with a limit of 125 people for each block. All household members planning to attend must be listed on the reservation to book spots.
Non-residents are not being allowed at this time, and for those with reservations, the city “recommend(s) that you continue to follow social distancing and face-covering recommendations.”
Those planning on purchasing memberships, available here, should do so before making reservations in order to avoid paying the day rate for any reservation booked. Memberships may also be handled in person by visiting the pool, 4130 Byron St., during operating hours.
Cost for the season is $106 for individuals, $160 for couples, and $240 for a family. Memberships are complimentary to seniors 65 and older. Nanny passes are available for $25, to be used only when accompanying a family.
Without a membership, each single reserved admission costs $6.
