The Upper Kirby District has started construction on the Buffalo Speedway Improvements Project between US-59 and Bissonnet.
Trees and other vegetation have been removed from medians running down Buffalo Speedway. It appears as though the medians are in the process of being removed.
The project was scheduled to begin in early 2011, according to the Upper Kirby District website.
Currently, there have not been any updates posted to its website about the project.
InstantNewsBellaire tried to obtain information about the construction project, but was told the spokesperson for the Upper Kirby District was out of the office until Monday.
