Counseling For Teens, Parents

Four new groups for teens and their parents will start September 30 at St. Luke’s Center for Counseling and Enrichment.
The “sense of self” peer groups for high school girls and boys will address issues ranging from self-knowledge and self-acceptance to interpersonal communication, responsible behavior and decision-making. Classes also will be offered for Moms and Dads of teens.
Jamie Leonard, LPC, will lead the girl’s group in her in her practice she specializes in counseling adolescent schoolgirls. Jamie’s personalized approach to counseling and her interactive and direct style is highly successful with today’s adolescent girls’ issues.
Michael DeVoll, LPC will be leading the guys’ group. Michael specializes in culturally-sensitive, solution-focused counseling for adolescents and young adults and has many years of experience working with high-school age kids and their parents.
The cost is $120 for a 6-week session and discounts are available for families with multiple family members participating in different groups (package rate determined by how many family members enrolling). For more information or to register, contact 713-402-5046.
