Crime Report: Car Burglar Breaks into Vehicle on Tangley

9-21-13
Traffic Violations
At 7:57 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 3200 block of W. Holcombe for speeding and brake light malfunction. On contact with the driver, it was discovered that he did not have a Texas operator’s license, nor did he have proof of financial responsibility. The driver was arrested for no driver’s license and no financial responsibility, and issued a citation for speeding and brake light malfunction.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle
At 12:30 pm, an officer was dispatched to the 3700 block of Tangley in regard to a burglary of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. The victim stated that an unknown person(s) entered the vehicle and removed the items without consent. No suspects were found at this time.

Forgery
At 09:41 AM, an officer was dispatched to WUPD for a report of forgery. The officer met with the victim who stated that an unknown person used her personal information to write fraudulent checks.

Warrant Arrest
At 2:08 PM, an officer was dispatched to Sugarland PD to pick up a subject who had two warrants with West U. The officer took custody of the subject and transported him to WUPD.

Warrant Arrest
At 10:18 AM, an office was dispatched to Pearland PD to pick up a subject with West U warrants. The individual was placed into custody and transported to WUPD.

Driving While License Suspended
At 11:27 PM, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Duke for a malfunctioning headlight. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the driver had a suspended license, no insurance and stolen property in the vehicle. The driver was arrested.
