West University Baptist and Crosspoint Church are participating in Compassion International’s Child Sponsorship Program, a dedicated to releasing children from poverty. Church members are currently sponsoring more than 40 children.

Compassion International is an accredited, evangelical Christian child development ministry, serves more than 1 million registered children in nearly 5,000 child development centers in 25 developing countries. The charity’s roots date to its founding in 1952 from the despair of the Korean War. Working with local churches in development countries, Compassion International offers educational opportunities, healthcare and health-related instruction, supplemental nutrition, life-skills training and opportunities to hear about and respond to the gospel.
Compassion International is a member of several accrediting agencies.
