Deadline is today to register to vote in general election

Today (Monday, Oct. 4) is the deadline to register to vote in the general election Nov. 2.

The ballot contains eight state ballot measures, candidates for mayor and three City Council seats in Bellaire, and the selection of the Houston ISD trustee representing Bellaire, West University and portions of southwest Houston.

The nearest county office to register is at 6000 Chimney Rock Road in Houston, and it is open until 4:30 p.m.
