Early Voting Begins Dec. 8 For Runoff Between Bell, Huffman

Early voting for the runoff election for Texas Senate Dist. 17 begins Dec. 8, with the election taking place Dec. 16. The ballot includes Democrat Chris Bell and Republican Joan Huffman.

The Election Day ballot on Nov. 4 was crowded, and none of the two Democrats or four Republicans received a majority of the vote in the special election to fill Kyle Janek’s seat. Janek resigned June 2.

During the general election, Bell garnered 38.4 percent of the vote, Huffman 26.13 percent.
