Kids can learn about nutrition and exercise Saturday at the Children’s Nutrition Expo, a special event at the Children’s Museum of Houston.

Houston-area nutritionists will be on hand to offer fun activities for children to “learn about the fuel your body needs to get up and go,” according to a statement. At 2 p.m., fitness expert Florence Love will lead an exercise session with high-energy music and dance steps.
The day-long event is part of Go Kids! Nutrition Wonderweek, which lasts through Sept. 30. Activities through the week will teach children about how the heart and muscles work, physically challenge them to test reflexes and balance, and teach about why the body needs vitamins and minerals.
The museum is located at 1500 Binz. Admission is $7 per person, $6 for seniors, and free for children younger than 1.
