Registration for the fall season of the Southwest Football League ends August 11. This big football guy, standing in front of the West U Little League Fields, is a reminder for players and parents to sign up for the league.
Southwest Football League, which includes the West U Shamrocks, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Southwest Football League (SFL) was founded in 2003 in response to the greatly increased interest in youth football and cheerleading from residents of the greater Bellaire, Braeswood, River Oaks and West University areas.
Due to limited field space, enrollment is limited to boys and girls permanently residing in the following zip codes: 77005, 77019, 77025, 77027, 77030, 77096, 77098, and 77401.
The registration fee for players is $325. The registration fee for cheerleaders is $250. Included in the registration fee are practice and game jerseys, SFL T-shirts and helmet stickers.
