Former City Secretary Accepts Position In Bee Cave, Texas

Former West University Place City Secretary Kay Holloway has accepted the position of city secretary in Bee Cave, Texas, a small city outside of Austin in Travis County. Holloway was West U.’s city secretary for almost 16 years before she resigned at the end of January. Holloway is scheduled to begin her new position on July 21.
Bee Cave was incorporated in 1987, and the estimated population in 2007 was 2,197. The 2005 estimated median household income in Bee Cave was $124,100, with the average home worth $597,000.
Thelma Lenz took the position as West U.’s city secretary in June.
Lenz was the administrative secretary for West U. under former City Manager Sherman Yehl, and left the city in 1998 to take a position as deputy city secretary in Missouri City.
