The Bellaire area is waking up to frosty temperatures and a freeze warning in effect until 10 a.m.

The National Weather Service issued the freeze warning after overnight temperatures dropped into the mid- and upper-20s.

Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing until mid-morning, with readings between 28-32 throughout the greater Houston area. Only the immediate coast is expected to remain above freezing.

Today’s high is expected to reach the lower-50s under sunny skies before dropping below freezing again tonight.
