The Friends of the Bellaire Library will host the Fall Book Sale on Saturday, Nov.13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Book Sale will be held on the Parking Lot between the Bellaire Fire Station and the library.
The sale, held twice annually, is the major fundraiser for the Friends and all proceeds benefit the library. The library is well-used by Bellaire residents, especially children who participate in the summer reading program.
“For all of us who like to have a real book in his or her hand, this is a great way to support the Library’s efforts. The quality of donations is excellent and shoppers have the opportunity to pick up some great books,” said FOTBL President Andréa Ehlers. “By supporting the Fall Book Sale, you are sending the message that the library is an important part of the Bellaire community.”
Bellaire High School Honor Society students volunteer to help set up in the morning and return in the afternoon to help clean up and prepare for the next sale.
“National Honor students have done this for over 13 years and they have made a huge difference in helping the sale go smoothly,” said Bellaire Library Director Mary Alford Cohrs.
The newly redesigned FOTBL imprinted canvas book bags will be available for sale. These bags are sturdy with extra long handles.
Membership forms will be available for anyone interested in joining the Friends of the Bellaire Library.
