Gas Prices In West U Area Continue To Fall, Now Average $2.46 Per Gallon

As the summer winds down, average retail gasoline prices in the West U area dropped 3.6 cents per gallon in the past week.
The average price of unleaded regular now stands at $2.46 per gallon as of yesterday.
This compares to the national average that dropped 1.2 cents per gallon last week, bringing the nation wide average to $2.69 per gallon, according to gasoline price website HoustonGasPrices.com.
Including the change in gas prices in West U during the past week, prices yesterday were 6.9 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago. They are 6.7 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
The national average has decreased 5.8 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 9.4 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
