Gas Prices In West U Area Up 4.2 Cents, Average Now At $2.48 Per Gallon

Average retail gasoline prices in the West U area jumped 4.2 cents per gallon during the past week.
Today’s current average price for a gallon of unleaded is $2.48.
This number compares with the national average that has increased 3.9 cents per gallon in the last week, according to gasoline price website HoustonGasPrices.com. The current national average is $2.72 per gallon.
Including the change in gas prices during the past week, local gas prices today are 17.2 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and 8.3 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
The national average has decreased 3.6 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 16.0 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
