Gas Prices Jump More Than 6 Cents; Now Average $2.60 Per Gallon

GAS PRICES UP – Gas prices in Bellaire jumped 6.5 cents per gallon over the past week.

Average retail gasoline prices in Bellaire jumped 6.5 cents per gallon in the past week.

The average cost for a gallon of unleaded regular was $2.60 as of Tuesday.

The local cost-per-gallon compares the national average that increased 7.1 cents per gallon in the last week and now stands at $2.81 per gallon, according to gasoline price website HoustonGasPrices.com.

Including the increase in gas prices in Bellaire during the past week, prices yesterday were 37.3 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 13.4 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.

The national average has increased 8.9 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 33.3 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
