Gasoline Prices In West U Drop Slightly, Now Average $2.61 Per Gallon

Following several weeks of increases, average retail gasoline prices in West U dropped 0.8 cents per gallon in the past week.
The average price for a gallon of unleaded regular in West U now stands at $2.61.
This compares with the national average that has fallen 1.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.81 per gallon, according to gasoline price website HoustonGasPrices.com.
Including the change in gas prices in West U during the past week, prices yesterday were 12.9 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 11.2 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.
The national average has increased 10.1 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 13.8 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
