A precautionary recall has been issued for H-E-B Spinach Spring Mix Bagged Salad, as well as several deli items, over possible contamination concerns.
The grocery items are sold at H-E-B stores statewide, including those in the Bellaire area.
The recall came after possible contamination was identified in the products, which are produced for H-E-B by Taylor Farms.
No details on the nature of the contamination have been released.
Winell Herron, the grocery chain’s vice president of public affairs and diversity, said the recall was issued out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the safety of customers.
“H-E-B is committed to the highest standards of food safety for our customers,” Herron said. “We want to take every precaution necessary to ensure the integrity and quality of the products sold in our stores.”
No reports of illnesses have been received because of the potentially contaminated products.
