Plans to construct a transit center near Bellaire and to provide dedicated bus lanes on Post Oak Boulevard could soon receive a boost if the Houston-Galveston Area Council approves $62 million in grants for the proposed projects.
The proposals could come for consideration before the regional group’s Transportation Policy Council - the body responsible for allocating the federal grants - on May 24 or June 28, said Alan Clark, H-GAC’s transportation director.
